Description

This air damper assembly regulates the flow of cold air from the freezer into the refrigerator compartment to keep temperatures even. Replace a stuck or broken damper to restore proper cooling and prevent warm spots or food freezing.

• Disconnect power before servicing; remove food and shelves to access the damper area
• Remove the damper cover/grille; take out mounting screws or clips and withdraw the assembly
• Position the new assembly squarely in the air channel; reconnect any harness and reinstall covers
• Restore power and allow the refrigerator to stabilize before final temperature checks
