The Lower Blower Assembly is an OEM component for Whirlpool ranges. Located underneath the oven cavity, the lower blower assembly circulates heated air throughout the oven chamber during all cooking functions that require convection. 

Causes of a bad lower blower assembly can include failure of the electric motor due to extended periods of high-heat operation. Excessive grease or dirt buildup within the fan housing can also restrict airflow and impede performance over time.

Symptoms of a bad lower blower assembly include:

• Improper or inadequate air circulation within the oven 
• Slow or incomplete cooking even on convection bake settings
• Abnormal rattling or grinding noises emanating from below
• Failure to engage or power on the lower blower fan
